Under the umbrella of Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s flagship programme of “Digital India”, National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has joined hands with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous Scientific Society of DeitY, Govt. of India to train 16000 Govt. employees of all the North Eastern States in two years. This is indeed an effort of Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Govt. of India under a special scheme “Preparing North East for Digital India”.
On 27th June 2016, Kokrajhar Extension Centre of NIELIT Guwahati launched the programme in Goalpara District by starting with training of 20 nos. Govt. of Assam employees in CCC Course. The programme was inaugurated by Shri JVN Subramanyam, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Goalpara in the presence of Shri K. Baruah, Director, NIELIT GUWAHATI, Shri Bhaskar Malakar, DIO Goalpara, Shri Rintu Das, Deputy Director, NIELIT Guwahati, Shri Bipul Roy, Centre In-charge, NIELIT Kokrajhar EC. The training programme is directly going to benefit the trainees in the proper implementation of e-governance and also spread the “Digital India” mission to transform the entire ecosystem of public services through the use of information, electronics and Communications Technology.
