Overview of the Project

i) Objective

National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), an Autonomous Scientific Society under Administrative Control of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is implementing the Project entitled “Skill Development of Youths in Aspirational Districts in Area of IECT Leading to Enhancement in Employability” with an objective of Skill Development training program of 21,600 SC / ST / EWS youths belonging to Aspirational district in the area of Information Electronics and Communications Technology (IECT) with Financial Support of Total Budgetary Outlay of Rs. 29.8123 Crore over a period of 3-Years through an array of various NSQF aligned long/short term courses in Electronics and IT.

ii) Beneficiary States

The Training programme is to be conducted in 60 districts from the following States: Assam, Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh.
