NIELIT Extension Centre Chuchuyimlang has been approved for upgradation under the “Development of North Eastern Region by enhancing the Training/Education capacity in the IETC area” from the Centre with a total outlay of Rs. 10 crore. For the upgradation, NIELIT Extension Centre has signed an MoU with NGA Chuchuyimlang, who has provided freely a land measuring 7.73 acre of land for development of office buildings, hostels and other facilities.

With the completion of the construction, the institute plans to starts regular courses on Bioinformatics, Multimedia, Engineering courses on Computers, Electronics etc., BCA, B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, Embedded Technology and other such courses.
